CelebratingChildren.com provides articles that explore a wide array of topics including children’s literature, education, music and family finance. The articles supplement traditional parenting resources by examining topics that are often overlooked but are of great interest to African American families.

 

About Stacey
Stacey Montgomery is a graduate of Columbia University (’87) and Boston University School of Law (’91). In February 2000 Stacey launched CelebratingChildren.com, an African American parenting Web site. CelebratingChildren.com offers original articles, books, tips, cards and gifts primarily for African American families with children ages 0-10.CelebratingChildren.com provides articles that explore a wide array of parenting topics including children’s literature, education, special needs, health and development and family finance. The articles supplement traditional parenting resources by examining topics that are often overlooked but are of great interest to African American families.

In addition to writing for and publishing CelebratingChildren.com, Stacey Montgomery recently published Black Families Online: Directory of Online Resources for Black Parents(iUniverse, Inc., July 2003). Organized into 20 topics, Black Families Online is a compilation of over 380 Web resources. With this convenient directory, families will be able to research college scholarships, plan a baby shower, finish Christmas shopping, learn about caring for children’s hair, find online activities, discover multicultural educational tools, talk to other families about home schooling, and much, much, more…without leaving their homes! Stacey also operates a design company, Stacey M Design (www.staceymdesign.com) through which he designs greeting cards, announcements, invitations and gifts.

Stacey was born in Greenwich, Connecticut and grew up in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a wife and mother and currently resides in Aurora, Illinois.
