Curing Children through Chiropractic Care. It had become the norm for my 9-year-old son, Caleb, an allergy sufferer, to awake each morning with a stuffy nose. Until recently, it was hard to remember the last time I had actually heard his sinuses sound completely clear. It was frustrating for me as his mother because I often felt helpless. While giving him doses of medicine to clear his sinuses never felt right to me, there were times that I just gave in to the medicine route to provide him a level of comfort through the nasal congestion and discomfort. August 19, 2004. Off to the Bahamas. During my childhood, my parents made it a point to fit travel into our lifestyle. They knew it was one of the best ways for our family to experience cultures different from ours. When a travel agent once tried to discourage my mom from planning a trip for us to Haiti because of the high poverty level my brother and I would be exposed to there, my mom said to her: "That's exactly why I want to take them!" more

Stacey Montgomery has done a phenomenal job compiling about 375 web sites -- designed for the Black family -- into one resource. Her book is truly a "one-stop" shopping of information that is divided into 20 categories. There's something for everyone in this book. more

August 23, 2003. On Your Mark, Get Set, Go.
My 7-year-old son, Caleb, is registered to attend homeschooling PE classes at the YMCA during the upcoming school year. Along with other homeschooled children in his age group, he'll be taking an hour-long PE class twice a week -- in addition to the year-round sports (basketball, soccer and flag football) which he currently does consecutively. more
