Temporary End to Horseback Riding

Today was Isaiah’s last horseback riding session for a while. Isaiah’s Thursdays have become a little too busy and it is now getting cold out. So, we decided that Isaiah will go to basketball class for the next few months and then we may start horseback riding again in the Spring.

It is hard to quantify how much horseback riding helped Isaiah’s speech development. In addition to therapeutic horseback riding, Isaiah receives so much other therapy that it is hard to know the effect of each. However, I can say that he has made a tremendous amount of progress since April when we began horseback riding. Isaiah now says many words and uses some short sentences.

I decided to rename this journal “Isaiah’s World: Speech Therapy and Beyond.” I will now focus on his overall life and development with an emphasis on speech.
